Why did you give up independent blogging?

The main reason is laziness. Too lazy to update, too lazy to file, too lazy to maintain. static website hosting But I haven't completely given up, because personal blogging still makes sense to me, and I didn't put much effort into it at first.

When I started, it was a wordpress blog, a web host. At that time, I also saw an article about Zhihu, "How to build a personal website." I thought it was interesting, so I came up with an idea of "I'll try that too". saas hosting I didn't know anything at the time. I was just kidding. I bought a domain name from Baidu, a web host (because it's cheaper than a server, and a one-click Wordpress build feature), a few articles, and got started. I clearly remember that at that time was the National Day holiday, the dormitory I did not have a person to go home, all day trouble, really established. But at that time there was no intention to write an article, the site got a care not to give up.

Later, I learned about Linux, nginx, web, etc., and I had the idea of writing a blog in my mind. The domain name I bought had not yet expired. I bought a basic server directly from Alibaba Cloud, which is very cheap because it gives discounts to new people. Then is the installation and download, during the encounter of various problems, Baidu one by one to solve. After the blog was built, I went to research the theme, optimize the plugin, and have a lot of fun. I also wrote some articles, mostly for my own amusement. Didn't do much after graduation. It's getting old.

And that led to where we are now. The reason is that I saw such a research article on Zhihu "Why it is so difficult for China's current websites to record". Today is different from the past, I was prepared in Ali Cloud case, fill in their personal data information technology and so on, which can be so strict now. I looked at the domain name that Ali Cloud bought at that time (the domain name is renewed every year) or the students want to play. But at this time do not want to buy a server, because expensive, but also through the record, foreign network speed is slow, experience learning is not good, I want to try other ways. Just to be able to understand hexo, static websites, faster than dynamic video sites, and they do not have to server, theme activity style is also my appetite, I think it is good, make it try.

Hexo generates static web pages so first of all it's hosted on github which is great but the access card is so bad it makes people doubt their lives so they go to Gitee and then hey hey they give me a ban which is really annoying.

It's a little hard not to build a case, keep access fast and as free as possible. Fortunately, I really found a way to use Alibaba Cloud OSS. Ali Cloud OSS can be hosted statically, and there are some free credits, which is perfectly enough for a small blog with little access traffic like mine. The most important thing is that you can use Hong Kong OSS without filing, and hexo has related plug-ins (this plug-in has problems, and it is always wrong), and you can directly push the generated static web pages with commands, which is simple and convenient. But then I found a serious problem. This OSS is pay-per-use. Under normal circumstances, I this small blog with small access traffic, there is enough free credit, no extra money. But if someone maliciously brushes your traffic, it will directly lead to a big thank you in your wallet. I shut down and thought of something else.

Then I put my eyes on the hosting platform and tried to find one that was cheap, fast to access, and reliable. As it happened, one of my QQ group owners pushed us a partnership package with a service provider. Six yuan a month, 100 gigabytes of data, 5 gigabytes of storage, fast access, and in Hong Kong. There's no need to record it. Although I have never heard of the service provider, it only costs six yuan. At worst, if you cheat, you cheat, and I've been using it ever since.

I wrote a lot, purely because I couldn't sleep at night, to pass the time. I still don't update my blog much, but I don't want to give up. It makes me happy to write something on it once in a while.
